Civic Candidate Questionnaire 2009

In preparation for the October 28th civic election, IDEA sent the following message to all civic candidates.  The questionnaires that have been returned are posted below.  To the point of this posting all candidates responding have agreed that further action on disability related issues requires further action.  IDEA would request that its members and supporters be informed and vote accordingly.

Hello Candidates,

During the civic election of October of 2006, IDEA Regina developed a presentation that was intended to bring to the attention of voters and candidates for Mayor and City Council issues that are important to the citizens of Regina who have a disability.  The We love Regina....But! presentation focused on the issues of accessibility, employment, parking and public transportation. Please find attached a follow-up document entitled 'We Love Regina... But!  The new Edition describes what progress on disability issues has been made to date by the City and what action still needs to be taken.   IDEA Regina also encourages you, as a candidate in this election, to fill out the attached questionnaire.  The results will be shared on our website with our membership in order for them to make informed decisions on October 28th. We would appreciate the surveys to be returned by October 23rd.
